In a randomized controlled trial at National University Hospital, Singapore, junior doctors trained on either Full Code or in-person manikin simulation. Both groups then led sepsis and trauma resuscitations on a high-fidelity manikin, scored by two blinded raters. The Full Code group performed as well as the in-person group, with no significant difference in learning outcomes.
The difference is frequency and scale. A sim-lab session needs a room, a manikin and faculty on the same schedule. A Full Code case takes about ten minutes on any device, so your learners can practice far more often, between the sessions you already run.
